Siyiapei River Bridge Completion

The Siyiapei river bridge has been completed! Now when the river floods, with the help of the OFDC, Bridging the Gap Africa, and the Olonturoto villagers, children can reach school safely, vendors can get their goods to market, and the sick can get access to the medical attention they need. A celebration was recently held which over 300 people attended. Our Board Chair/Founder, Nia Z. Sherar, was performing routine project assessments and also attended the celebration.

Nia Z. Sherar, OFDC Founder/Chair, and Tajeu Evans Yenko, Ololoiboti Head Teacher, crossing the Siyapei River via the old log bridge. This bridge would be destroyed when ever the river flooded.
